Common Name: Jungle Cactus.

Origin: Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay .

Hardiness: Better kept above 5 degrees.

Growth Characteristics: Hanging cactus. Evergreen. Long succulent segmented stems variable in length. Can change colour to pinkish-maroon in full sun. Smallish flowers, cream, white, yellow or magenta in colour. Epiphytic plants. Require little maintenance

Sun: Partial sun.

Exposure: Indoor Houseplant. Can be moved outside into filtered light (not direct sunshine) through summer.

Soil: Well drained soil.

Moisture: Water during growing season. Allow to dry between waterings. When top 0.5 inch of soil is dry then water. Needs a little more water than regular cacti. Can mist the leaves occasionally to provide a little humidity.

Lepsimum Cruciforme. Hanging Cactus.
The Lepsimum Cruciforme Cactus has long succulent green stems with small whitish fuzzy tuffs along them. Spines are absent or nearly. The amount of stem segments is variable having between 3-5 which can be up to 20cm long. In full sun these can become an attractive pinkish-maroon in colour.

Flowers are around 1.3cm long and colours range from cream, white, yellow, or magenta. Very on trend and perfect for providing a dramatic accent to your house or office.

These types of cacti are Epiphytic, meaning in habitat they grow in trees or on rocks, getting their nutrients from the air or dead leaves and other debris collected in the cracks or crevasses. This variety is threatened by habitat loss.

Very easy to keep needing minimal maintenance.
