Native to: Mexico.

Hardiness: Hardy down to -10 degrees if kept dry in Winter with good drainage.

Growth Characteristics: Large single trunked stocky yucca, although branching can occur. Can reach 8m tall in habitat. Green rigid foliage concave in profile, up to 100cm long with attractive twisted grey-brown marginal threads are arranged in an attractive rosette.

Sunlight: Full sun/partial shade.

Exposure: Exposed/Sheltered.

Soil: Well drained soil. Gritty.

Moisture: Water sparingly. Keep dry in winter

    Yucca Potosina.
    The Yucca Potosina is an evergreen, tree-like, sculptural yucca.  Perfect for providing a dramatic accent to your garden design, it usually grows in a solitary column but branching can often occur.
    Cold tolerant, it is hardy to drought as well as cold when established. It’s dark green-bluish leaves are concave in profile, extremely rigid with spikey tips and can be up to 100cm long. Arranged in an attractive symetrical rosettes, they are covered along their margins with attractive twisted grey brown threads.  A beautiful stocky Yucca, that is not widely available but easy to keep and needs minimal maintenance.
