    Trithrinax Campestris. Caranday Palm

    The Trithrinax Campestris is one of the most cold hardy palms in the world, tolerating severe cold and high winds. It has incredibly stiff blue/grey leaves arranged in a tight crown on top of a robust spikey trunk.
    Usually a clumping palm it is slow, but very easy to grow and is a striking architectural palm.
    Quite unusual for the UK, it is great for collectors of hardy exotics.
    Probably best planted away from walkways as it is armed with sharp spikes at the end of the leaf tips.
