The Trichocereus Terscheckii Cactus is a relatively fast growing huge columnar variety of cacti. This striking evergreen succulent can reach heights of over 7m and has a branching habit, although the stem does stay solitary for quite a long while until numerous lateral branches are formed. Deep green in colour the stems have 8-14 prominent wide ribs with regularly spaced areoles, brownish felted. There are between 8-15 golden coloured spines up to 10cm long.

Large white coloured flowers up to 20cm long and 12.5cm wide have whiitish or brown wooly hair on their funnels and appear on the sides of the cactus, opening in the evening. The dark greenish blue fruit is up to 5cm long and edible.
