Stenocereus Thurberii Cacti. Organ Pipe Cactus.
The Stenocereus Thurberii Cactus is a large slow growing tree-like variety of cacti. Several narrow columnar stems rise candelabra-like from a single short trunk just above ground level. Green-grey stems which can reach 16ft in height are around 6 inches in diameter with between 12-19 ribs that bear dark brown-black spines which become lighter as they get older. Stems rarely branch but grow annually from the tip of the last growth.
