Common Name: Majestic Palm. Majesty Palm.

Native to: South Central Madagascar.

Hardiness: Tolerates only light frost.

Growth Characteristics: Stately and impressive. Solitary grey trunk, slightly bulging at the base with leaf scars. Bright green symmetrical pinnate leaves. Evergreen. Slow growing. Keep away from cool draughts and ventilation.

Sunlight: partial shade away from direct sunlight.

Exposure: Sheltered.

Soil: Well drained soil.

Moisture: Keep evenly moist in summer, a little dryer in winter although do not let dry out completely. Brown leaf tips= underwater, Yellow leaf tips =overwater.

Feeding: Requires regular feeding every 2-3 weeks with a speciality food which contains more magnesium then regular feeds.
