    Prichardia Pacifica. Fiji Fan Palm.
The Prichardia pacifica is a very striking tropical looking palm with a crown of around 20-30 large flat fan shaped leaves when mature, ranging in colour from bright lime green to dull green. Almost as wide as they are long each rounded leaf is barely split but divided into many stiff tipped segments and pleated at it’s base. There are no spines along the petioles. The solitary trunk is smooth, greyish-brown in colour.

This beautiful palm is tolerant of salty soils and coastal spray although is frost tender, but will grow well as a houseplant given a sunny position. A great palm for collectors and enthusiasts.
