Growth Characteristics: Slow growing clustering Cactus. Grey green miniature pads. Does not have spines, but numerous reddish-brown glochids in dense clusters. Flowers are yellow/lemon followed by red fruit.

Soil: Well drained soil. Gritty.

Opuntia Microdasys ‘Malena’. Cacti.
The Opuntia Microdasys ‘Malena’ is a clustering Cacti forming a dense shrub up to 40-60cm tall. Miniature grey-green pads have no spines but bear numerous fine chestnut brown glochids (hair-like prickles) in dense clusters.

Lemon/yellow flowers are produced between 3-5cm across and are followed by red fruits.

Very easy to keep, great for growing in pots and needs minimal maintenance. Also commonly known as Rabbit Ears Cactus
