Mangave ‘Catch a Wave’. Manfreda x Agave

The Mangave ‘Catch a Wave’ is a relatively new and exciting cross between Manfreda and Agave. A really striking Mangave, it is quite large with a wide symmetrical rosette of unique wild and incredibly wavy fleshy leaves. Their colour is exceptional, looking a silver blue-green on the top surface with subtle dark speckling and silvery grey undersides. The colours become more pronounced in full sun. Although the leaves have small spines along their leaf margins they are relatively rubbery and soft to the touch compared to the Agave.

Great for exotic gardens, it’s bold modern silhouette making a wonderful architectural centrepiece. Perfect for urban and rock gardens and very low maintenance. This mangave can produce sparse offset
