    Common Name: Twin-spined Cactus. ‘Whitey’. White Cactus

    Origin: Guanajuato, San Louis Potosi, Mexico.

    Hardiness: -4 if dry but best keep above freezing to avoid blemishes.

    Growth Characteristics: Very showy clump forming Cactus.  Usually 2 white central spines and between 16-20 interlaced radials. Carmine- pink coloured flowers up to 1.5cm in diameter appearing through Summer into Autumen.

    Sun: Full sun.

    Exposure: Sheltered.

    Soil: Fast draining soil. Gritty.

    Moisture: Water regularly in summer. Dry in winter.

    Mammillaria Geminispina Cactus. Twin-spined Cactus.
    The Mammillaria Geminispina Cactus forms a mound of closely clustered globular stems. Commonly called the Twin-spined Cactus as there is usually 2 (although there can be more) pure white or white with a darker tip central spines. There are between 16-20 chalky white radial spines up to 7mm long, all interlaced making the green stems appear nearly white  hence it’s other common name of ‘White Cactus’.
