    Ficus Lyrata. Fiddle-Leaf Fig.

The Ficus Lyrata more commonly known as the  Fiddle-Leaf Fig is native to the rainforests of  Western Africa but in the UK is grown as a very sculptural and modern looking houseplant. Large elegant glossy dark green leaves resembling the shape of a ‘fiddle’  have a leathery texture with prominent veins and wavy margins.

Easy to care for, these plants bring a piece of the jungle indoors and help with air purification. May be placed outside during summer. Please be aware the sap is an irritant.
