    Origin: Morocco.

    Hardiness: Hardy down to -4 degrees, lower if roots are dry.

    Growth Characteristics:  Relatively fast growing succulent shrub. Tight clumps of upright 4 sided stems light green to glaucous blue in colour depending on light intensity. Short brown, sharp spines, along the rib margins and near rounded tips. Very small yellow flowers. Easy to grow.  Latex sap is toxic if ingested and a skin irritant.

    Sun: Full sun/partial shade.

    Exposure: Sheltered.

    Soil: Well drained soil. Gritty.

    Moisture: Water more in summer and during growing period. Allow to dry between waterings. Keep dry in winter.

    Feeding: Feed with half strength balanced liquid feed at the beginning of the growing season.

Erect stems are 4 sided, light green to glaucous blue in colour, with brown short, sharp spines spaced about 1cm apart along their margins and near their rounded tips
