Espostoa Lanata Cactus. Peruvian Old Man Cactus.
The Espostoa Lanata Cactus is a very decorative variety of cacti characterized by having a dense covering of fine white-grey hairs which acts as a woolly coat when growing in its native habitat at high altitudes. Cylindrical stems have 18-25 rounded ribs with oval shaped areoles closely set. Many needle like spines are almost concealed by the hair.

When mature enough plants will produce white-purple coloured funnel shaped flowers, up to 5.5cms long followed by small edible fruit which are almost round. Most plants will offset readily and branch after several years.
