    Dracaena Draco. Dragon’s Blood Tree.
The Dracaena Draco is a dramatic and ornamental evergreen tree. Slow growing the succulent trunk is single when young, but with age and after flowering will branch. Attractive rosettes of flexible sword shaped blue-green leaves can be up to 2ft long, and are produced from the ends of each branch. When cut or bruised the tree produces red sap, which can be used for staining wood, hence, the name Dragon’s Blood Tree.

Great as a specimen tree in a frost free zone, it tolerates wind, salt spray and salty soils but equally as good in as an indoor plant as it is tolerant of low light levels and is easy to grow.
