Growth Characteristics: Fast Growing. Very stylish and impressive perennial. Large matt green heart-shaped leaves supported on bright-dark pink long stems. Pink dot in the centre of the leaf. Leaves droop downwards can be up to 60cm long. Plants can reach 120cm tall. Easy to grow.

Sunlight: Full sun/partial shade.

Exposure: Sheltered from wind.

Soil: Rich fertile soil moisture retentive soil.

Moisture: Very thirsty plants, keep moist through summer. Dry in winter.

Colocasia Esculenta ‘Pink China’.

The Colocasia Esculenta ‘Pink China’ is a very impressive exotic looking tuberous clump forming perennial. Magnificent huge heart-shaped leaves up to 60cm long droop downwards, supported on bright-dark pink stems, matt green in colour with a pink dot in their centre. This impressive foliage is quick to grow and provides a wonderful backdrop to richly coloured flowers in any garden. Although one of the hardiest colocasia the leave will die back after frost but if mulched well the roots should survive in most ares. Alternatively it is perfect for growing in containers and placing into a border through summer to give it a tropical look and then moving indoors through winter. These specimens are exceptional quality.
