Growth Characteristics: Evergreen perennial columnar Cactus. Stems green-grey in colour covered with whitish hair. Stout pale yellow/brown spines. Cylindrical shaped flowers, vivid crimson in colour. Easy to grow.

Exposure: Sheltered.

Soil: Well drained soil. Gritty.

Moisture: Water more in summer and during growing period. Allow to dry between waterings. Keep dry in winter.

Cleistocactus Strausii x Espostoa Lanata Hybrid Cactus.
This is a very attractive and interesting hybrid between Cleistocactus Strausii and Espostoa Lanata Cactus. It is very decorative with characteristics of both varieties. Thicker in the stem than the Cleistocactus and still having a dense covering of fine white-grey hairs which acts as a woolly coat but the many needle like spines are much longer.
