    Common Name:  Monstrose Apple Cactus, Curiosity Plant.

    Origin: Rio De Janeiro, Brazil.

    Hardiness: Hardy down to -4

    Growth Characteristics: Slow growing branching tree-like Cactus. Grey/blue to grey/green in colour. Deeply ribbed in a twisting irregular undulating pattern. Does have spines. Nocturnal large white fragranced flowers. Small red, apple-like edible fruit.

    Sun: Full sun/partial shade.

    Exposure: Sheltered.

    Soil: Well drained soil. Gritty. Not rich in Nitrogen.

    Moisture: Water around every 10-14 days. Allow to dry between waterings. Keep dry in winter.

    Cereus Peruvianus Monstruosus Cacti.
    The Cereus Peruvianus Monstruosus is a very impressive branching, tree-like cacti. Grey/blue, to grey/green in colour, it is deeply ribbed in a twisting and irregular undulating pattern giving an extrodinary and unique look.

    A night blooming Cacti, the exquisite flowers open in the evening and remain open the next day. White to pinkish in colour they can be 6-7inches in diameter and are very fragrant.

    This species produce edible fruits, reddish in colour when mature which look similar to a small apple.
