Growth Characteristics: Very stylish and impressive rhizomatous evergreen perennial. Huge exotic looking leaves. Grows up to 2M tall. Scented greenish -cream flowers in summer followed by red berries. If keeping as a houseplant, stand on a layer of pebbels. May cause stomach upset if ingested.

The Alocasia Brisbanensis is a very impressive and structural plant. Huge lush green leaves shaped like a sheilds are slightly rippled with prominent veins, reaching up to 1M in length. The leaves point upwards and sit on fleshy petioles. This spectacular foliage provides a wonderful tropical effect in any garden. In summer scented greenish-cream flowers appear followed by red berries. Great for growing in containers and placing into a border through summer to give it a tropical look and then moving indoors through winter. Alternatively their amazing foliage makes them a striking houseplant.
