Agave Vilmoriniana. Octopus Agave.
The Agave Vilmoriniana is a beautiful and unusual evergreen perennial succulent. Slow growing, it is characterized by long slender grey-green leaves that arch and twist resembling the tentacles of an octopus, hence it’s common name of the Octopus Agave. Typically a solitary rosette, the leaf margins have no teeth as such but only minute serrations along the leaf margins with a relatively soft terminal point. Golden-yellow flowers are found on a 10-20ft flower spike on mature plants. A great Agave for coastal gardens, exotic gardens and city gardens alike, it’s unique silhouette making it a wonderful architectural addition
