Latin Name: Agave Montana.

Common Name: Mountain Agave.

Native to: Northeast Mexico.

Hardiness: Hardy to -10  or lower and extremely drought tolerant.

Growth: Succulent with a large rosettes of apple-green thick, fleshy leaves, with beautiful pronounced patterns on their surfaces, teeth along their margins and a terminal spine. Easy to grow. Tolerates winter wet.

Sun: Full sun/tolerates partial shade.

Exposure: Any

Soil: Well drained, plenty of gravel.

Moisture: Water occasionally.

    Agave Montana.
    The Agave Montana makes a wonderful architectural centrepiece. Characterized by fleshy, broad upright apple green leaves forming a large ‘Artichoke’ like rosette. Beautiful and unique imprinted patterns on their surfaces are left by large reddish teeth along their margins.
    Be mindful of where to plant as each leaf also has a sharp terminal point.

    Easy to grow it is tolerant of winter wet and hardy to winter cold.

    Great for exotic gardens, it’s bold silhouette makes a wonderful architectural centrepiece
